Theme: Introduction To Deliverance

Scriptural Reading: Obadiah 1 vs. 17; John 10 vs. 10; Acts 10:38

I am very delighted to introduce the readers of this page to the subject of deliverance.  All Christians need to acquaint themselves with this subject. The Bible tells us in Hosea 4:6 that the people of God are destroyed because of lack of knowledge.  One of the few things we must be aware of in these last days  is that lack of understanding or not having the knowledge of deliverance can keep a person in the bondage of the devil for life.

In my day-to-day interactions with so-called believers, I have discovered that the subject of  deliverance is widely misunderstood in Christendom today.  When a Minister of God or a Deliverance Minister speaks about deliverance, the lay man or woman is of the opinion that there is something spiritually or emotionally wrong with the individual the statement is being directed to.  Modern day Christians will quote 2 Corinthians 5 vs. 17 that says "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new".  These same believers have forgotten that Lamentation 5 vs. 7 says that "Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities".  In John 11, when Jesus called out Lazarus from the tombstone where he was buried, he instructed the attendants at the cemetery to loose him and let him go.  He (Jesus) commanded that the grave clothes wrapped around Lazarus be removed so that he (Lazarus) could go freely. The grave clothes wrapped around Lazarus represented the yokes of darkness one is entangled with before they are called into the light of God. Beloved, I want you to know that I have been sent by God this end-time to make you aware of the essence of getting involved in deliverance prayers that are designed to remove all manner of disappointments and resistance that come as a result of polluted past.  My friend, it is of no use to quote to the devil 2 Corinthians 5:17, when under his evil grip.  Declaring your newness in Christ against the enemy is important and necessary, but at the same time, you need to pray those prayers that will remove the grave clothes from your spiritual body.  This is exactly what deliverance is all about.  Not embracing deliverance as an arm of the gospel of Jesus Christ is an error that only by God's grace can or needs to change.  Whatever is not of God needs to be rectified by the power and might of God the Father in heaven through faith in His son Jesus Christ.

There are several definitions out there for the word "deliverance".  What ever the dictionary provides us to be the meaning of deliverance, it still boils down to the fact that deliverance is freedom from any adverse situations or conditions people find themselves because of ignorance. It is to be free from evil yokes placed upon an individual by spiritual forces of darkness that are not vivid or are hidden to humans.  In Ephesians 6 vs. 12, Paul tells us through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit that "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places". We are not told in this scripture that we are fighting human beings (flesh and blood), but we are fighting unseen foes and adversaries that humans cannot see with their natural eyes.  This makes the need for deliverance a reality for in most instances, the enemy's attacks and manipulations are what make people's lives to become perverted.

Many people, Christians inclusive, are going through diverse limitations and stagnation because the hold of evil upon them has not been broken.  Such holds are broken only by deliverance ministration, which is simply praying aggressive and targeted prayers.  In the nutshell, deliverance ministration is simply praying appropriate warfare prayers that are targeted and designed to hit the enemy of our souls where he does not expect.

Ignorance in Christendom has been the major source of problems in the lives of believers today.  There are many Christians suffering from witchcraft manipulations and satanic oppression. It is the lack of knowledge that keeps them bound by these types of manipulations.  As we get to understand deliverance through future writings from this site, your life willl begin to manifest the fullness of His glory in Jesus name.
